Roger graduated from The Rochester Institute of Technology. His first job was with the department store giant, Federated Dept Stores in NYC who own Macy's and Bloomingdale's to name a few. Roger quickly climbed the ladder of success being their youngest senior VP zig zagging the country, becoming known as the icon of visual presentation from coast to coast during his long career. Living in multiple cities, Ric & Roger found themselves living in Los Angeles on more than one occasion - Fast forward to the year 1980 when Roger was transferred from Los Angeles to Atlanta where Ric & Roger resided in an upscale 5500 square foot residence for over 10 years. Roger was called back to Los Angeles where Ric & Roger found themselves living in a high rise condo overlooking the jeweled city and the blue Pacific!

Following an exhausting 25 year career with Federated which included traveling to every major city in the country - as well as Harrods in London, Ric & Roger chose to take a year long sabbatical traveling the world. Upon returning, giving it considerable thought, Roger chose to resign from his executive position at Federated, unbeknownst to Ric.

What better place to live than Palm Springs? Ric & Roger purchased a stunning home in Indian Wells, CA with a private pool and South mountain views. Ric felt they were too young to lounge around a pool. Ric had been a licensed realtor in California since 1977 as well as Georgia since 1982. The first Fred Sands Desert Realty- Palm Desert office had just opened in 1993. Ric was one of the first 7 agents. Within months, Roger obtained his California real estate license thinking he would dabble in real estate. Roger doesn't dabble in anything jumping into the market with a vengeance. From the beginning they were simply known as Ric & Roger. The rest is history! Using his knowledge from his previous profession, Roger had the expertise to know why people buy real estate.
